We have a plan!
Can't really believe all this is happening like it is right now.
For the past couple of months we've steadily been working away on various tasks towards when a day might be our day to move.
As we're moving all the way up North, we can't really come back and forth between our new house and where we are now, so everything has to be organised to the last detail so that we can finish here and then travel up North and be there permanently. Not thinking that we have to travel back down to the Midlands again!
We had a call the other day from the buyer of our flat asking if we could meet up. Thinking the worst we arranged for the Monday after the weekend.
All weekend all we could think of was that the buyers wanted to pull out of the sale. However it wasn't that at all! It was actually much more interesting than we had thought and that they wanted to know if we could be out by a certain date, a date that wasn't that far away!
We had a chat and agreed, it would be close... but we thought we can do it!
After chatting with Solicitors we've hammered out a plan that we could move our belongings out of our place, have the removers keep the entire contents on the van for a few days in their premises and then deliver them a week later at our new house, when we have the keys which will hopefully be on the 4th of July.
We also had to include attending a wedding in our plans and staying overnight at the Wedding venue, hopefully exchanging contracts on the actual day of the ceremony and picking up the keys to our new house the following day.
So the final plan is to be arriving in the North East 29th May, staying in a Hotel for a few nights, going to the Wedding 3rd July and picking up the keys to our new house 4th July!
We actually have a plan!
